Summary: The UK has announced £16.5m (UGX 74.2b) grant to the World Food Programme (WFP) to support the refugee response Uganda in the 2024/25 financial year. Lisa Chesney, the British High Commissioner to Uganda, said this funding will enable WFP to expand cash transfers for general food assistance in nine settlements, benefiting over 800,000 of the most vulnerable refugees.
