Summary: After a tumultuous year, marked by historically low tea prices, the sector is showing signs of recovery. Farmers and other stakeholders, who have been in despair due to low prices, are beginning to find hope, as average prices at the Mombasa Tea Auction have risen from an all-time low of $0.66 (UGX 2,420) per kilogramme in 2023 to an average of $0.85 (UGX 3,120) per kg by close of last year.
